Who are Rotary International? What is a GSE?

Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian sevice, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Through its Foundation Rotary has provided over US$1 billion since inception for use in charitable humanitarian and educational programs around the world.

One of The Rotay Foundatioin’s educational programs is the Group Study Exchange, which is an opportiunity for terams of one Rotarian leader and four to six non-Rotarians to participate in a vocational exchange of 4-6 weeks with another Rotary district in a different country. The Rotary Foundation Group Study Exchange Program is intended to promote international understanding and friendship through a mutual exchange of business and professional people between different countries.
